The Crown Inn, Theale, Reading RG7 5BT: open-mic

open-mic hosted by Roger Watson

It's always a pleasure going back to the Crown. I only see these guys once a month but they always make me feel very welcome. It was nice to see that the irony of me playing the five verse version of American Pie didn't go unoticed! However I did feel my performance was a little lack-lustre and suspect I might be overdoing the performing a bit so I'm not going to play The Turks tonight.

The Crown was where this year really kicked in for me (not where I really got kicked in, though at the time it might have felt like it) and it was nice to finish the evening (and indeed the year) with a sing-along with the regulars; time spent well indeed and I look forward to seeing them all next year.

Don't forget the gig on the 14th next week - latest details here.

Tonight's set:

Cold Heart

You've Got The Magic Back

I Shall Wait Forever

Last Night I Saw You Standing There

American Pie
