"Boisterous"

Good to be back to where it all started, and where, I think it is fair to say, it had a fairly boisterous but good natured, busy atmosphere last night.

Apart from the intermittent microphone, my set felt like it went well. In fact last night I felt like I did the best performance of Love You To Death thus far. The intention is to give Cold Heart a bit of a rest for a while but considering the atmosphere I felt it would be appropriate to play it. Interestingly it wasn't as well received as I had anticipated, I don't know if it's because before I've always started with that one and it is then when it has had the best impact? American Pie was at the request of the core of the "boisterous contingent" who wanted to sing. I don't think they had reckoned on someone knowing all six long verses and it was quite funny seeing their faces when they realised there was yet another verse to go. A fun night.

My set:

To The Bone (Ray Davies)

Love You To Death

Cold Heart

American Pie (Don McLean)
