Bat and Ball, Boundstone, Farnham, GU10 4SA

Vic's Buskers open-mic hosted by Vic Cracknell

"Lived-in Faces (Part 1)"

The Bat and Ball is not the easiest venue to get to but the effort is usually well worth it and last night was no exception. In fact, I think last night was actually an exceptionally good open-mic night hosted by Vic Cracknell. Standout acts for me were Mark Nelson whom I couldn't watch because I was engaged in a conversation but his soulful singing and playing really cut through. And Aquillo provided a great rousing finale.

As for me I got told I had a "lived-in face"and could probably do great versions of Johnny Cash's songs. I took these as compliments (I'll take what I can these days and anyway I'm a big fan of Mr Cash's) but it was verging on the "you've got a great face for radio"!

It was such a good night I'm already fired up for tonight's gig. Come along!

My Set:

Happy Birthday (To "Acapella Derek" whom I discovered celebrates his eightieth birthday in a couple of weeks)
Cold Heart
