Market Hotel, 3 Market Square, Alton GU34 1HD

Vic's Buskers open-mic hosted by Vic Cracknell

"Things Have Changed"

A very, very pleasant night at the Market Hotel last night. Great to see Vic Cracknell again after what seems like a long time (poor old Vic, he's seeing me three times this week as I get "my eye in" for Friday's performance - it won't be the first time I've been likened to a bus!). Good to see some familiar faces too from Vic's Buskers such as the Budgie Smugglers (or two members of). Great sound too, what I was hearing made me think I could sing! And last but not least, The Market Hotel???! Was I really in Alton where I went to school and college? My, oh my how things change, I didn't expect The Market to now be a "boutique hotel"! Very nice ambience and staff. No open-mic in September but I'd hope to be back in October.

My Set:

To The Bone (Ray Davies)

Cold Heart

American Pie (Don McLean)

Barricades of Heaven (Jackson Browne)

Don't forget I'm opening for Raji K's EP launch on Friday. More details here.
