Deja Vu, Reading, RG1 2LG

Bohemian Night open-mic hosted by Rob Sowden

Thankfully life has returned to some sort of normality this week and I was pleased to be back at Deja Vu having missed last week (and also Boho in the Country).

As always I was astounded by the talent of the people playing. My set was okay but I always feel I'm just geting into my stride when I have to come off after three songs. It makes me appreciate more those acts that seem to "hit it" straight away and as I've said before, the acts on those Jools Holland Later type shows.

I get a few people complimenting me but I guess, although I'm grateful, there's a part of me that suspects they're just being polite and supportive. However every so often someone will come up to me and I get the feeling that they "get" what I'm trying to do. It happened last night; made me feel pretty good actually. Thanks! (:-)
