SONGS

Crackerjack (Shearer)

Another flood of information
At the global communication
But all this talk of global warming
It's all too much first thing in the morning
And the promise of share prices rising
It's all so, so enticing
But at the end of day
Is it enough to say:
"I'm alright Jack"
Or even "Crackerjack"?

Oh and don't it make it you sick
All this office politics
Just another carrot and stick
But up my sleeve I've another trick
If I give that manager a really kickin'
My colleague will get a really good lickin'
But at the end of the day
Is it enough to say:
"I'm alright Jack"
Or even "Crackerjack"?

I don't want to be morose
But let's be honest, we're not that close
But there's more to this than drowning our sorrows
More to this, than just drinking till tomorrow
I know it's a R.I.S.C.y business
And sometimes we come out a mess
But more often than not, I'm not anaesthetised
I go home happy and grateful I'm alive
Cheers Everyone

Crackerjack

So these flood waters getting higher and higher
So this is what it feels like when the validity period expires
Opportunities for delivery running out
No longer got this luxury of self-doubt
We've got to believe in what we do
So I will bid you, bid you adieu
And now, at the end of the day
It's enough for me to say:

"I'll be back,
To see my friends at Crackerjack"

"I'll be back
To see my friends at Crackerjack"

"I'll be back
To see my friends at Crackerjack"

"I'll be back
To see my friends at Crackerjack "
