2nd December 2011
Four evenings this week performing and listening
to other talented artists:
Anglers, Reading, Berks
Horse, Easebourne, Midhurst, Sussex
Arms, Alton, Hants.
Significant news for me is that I've been
offered to do a gig in the new year as a result of one of my performances.
If you're looking for an enjoyable musical
night out (that's not to say that mine won't be enjoyable!) I'd like to
recommend that you go to one of Vic Cracknell's gigs. I haven't been able
to attend a dedicated evening of his yet but he often finishes his open-mic
"Vic's Buskers" sessions with a few songs and is excellent. With
a repertoire of over 200 songs I'm pretty sure you're going to hear some
of your favourites played live (usually with everyone singing along). His
gig schedule can be found here.
Don't forget the gig with Luke Paulo at
the Global Cafe on 14th December. More details here.
Have a great weekend.

My next gig is at:
The Hook and Tackle, Reading, (RG1 2ND)
Thursday 9th May 2013 at 8:45pm
Please refer to GIGS to see the latest schedule.
Joanne Kelly / Strawberry Sundae Radio Show
Reading4U DJ Joanne wrote a very nice review of a gig I did in 2012 and has played Something Wild quite a few times on her Strawberry Sunday Radio show. Later in the year I had a great interview with her which can be found here, the success of which I think was largely due to the obvious background work she did in preparation for the interview.
Understandably I'm biased because Joanne has been so favourable but I do think she does a great show if you like indie rock, hearing about upcoming bands and a lot more more besides. Strawberry Sundae is on every Sunday at 6pm for two hours. More details can be found here.
Joanne is actually nominated for a Sony Radio Award and I'm hoping you'll support me in trying to give her a boost similar to that which she gave me by voting for her here. Do it soon as soon as possible as voting closes on 10th May. Thanks!
