At The Water's Edge

At The Water's Edge: Introduction

A few years ago I came to the conclusion that there was a subtext to much of what I'm doing on www.andrewshearer.com and that is this idea of finding what you most want to do with your life and trying to do it, or as Joseph Campbell put it: "following your bliss". Consequently I created this section which would concentrate on exploring that idea.

Since then I've realised that maybe for me there's a little bit more going on than just "following your bliss" (although that's an important aspect and was indeed for me a big first step). I have a sense that there is more to life than is generally accepted or can be proven, or at least my life feels that way. I can see now that that was what I was trying touch on with the At The Water's Edge story and I hope to try to explore those ideas and more further in this section.

The subject matter of the At The Water's Edge section is obviously quite different from the remainder of the website and as such it has different Twitter and Facebook feeds. If you'd like to notified when I add or amend something then you can either become a member of the At The Water's Edge Facebook page or follow on Twitter. Understandbly what I'm trying to do here at times informs my other work and performances and so you may wish to also follow the main social media feeds or receive the newsletter.

Finally, the section is very much "under construction" so apologies for links that do not yet work or are incomplete. (Actually, nearly all of the content has temporarily been removed as it is all finally currently taking shape.)
