Deja Vu, Reading, RG1 2LG

Bohemian Night open-mic hosted by Rob Sowden

Pleased to report three songs, It's Just Not There, Silent Valley, Get Up! went okay last night. Not great performances but it's good to have got this first one of the next phase under my belt.

Bohemian Night is run by Rob Sowden of Arena and Solar fame. Andrew Holdcroft, who co-wrote with me It's Just Not There (and You've Got The Magic Back, Can't Let Go, ) and played on much of At The Water's Edge, used to be the guitarist in Solar - not many people know that.

There were many good players there last night but the highlight for me was Jakabo, a four piece that came on at the end. They were so good, they were asked to come back and do a full set tonight (Thursday) by the bar manager. If you're looking for some entertainment in Reading tonight, go to Deja Vu, you'll be in for a treat.

Also, if you're into Delta Blues music, the excellent Ben Cox-Smith and Howard Birchmore are playing South Street tonight.
