Vic's Buskers open-mic hosted by Vic Cracknell

"Lived-in Faces (Part 2)"

Another particularly enjoyable open-mic tonight hosted by Vic Cracknell. I especially enjoyed Jo Musgrave's sweet heartfelt songs and Aquillo once again provided a great finale to the evening.

As for me, I think my performance was okay but probably not my best. There was a bit of repartee with the young 80-year old Derek as I told the story of how on my last visit to The Bat and Ball he suggested I had a lived-in face. I'm not sure I can come even close to doing a Johnny Cash impression but disconcertingly the impression of a lived-in face seemed to be a success as I sang Cash's I Still Miss Someone.

Finally, White Russian whom I've raved about having seen them at The Bat and Ball last year, have an acoustic set at The Swan Inn in Farnborough next Wednesday (29th Feb) at 8:45pm.
