Deja Vu, Reading, RG1 2LG

Bohemian Night open-mic hosted by Rob Sowden

"Not Quite On All Cylinders"

Busy night at Deja Vu last night including two of my favourites Maija, Paula Curtis. It's interesting how on some nights everybody seems on top of their game (and beyond) and then others, not quite firing on all cylinders. Unfortunately I thought last night was the latter although of course it could just be my perception.

From the stage point of view, my act felt workmanlike as I wanted to move away from the comfort zone of Cold Heart, The Things She Said, You've Got The Magic Back which it could be argued, have been maybe overplayed recently.

Finally, it was interesting to see two of the three-piece Bear and the Woods who are playing HubFest on Saturday and have been lauded by Reading DJ Joanne Kelly on Reading 4 U Radio.

Don't forget this Friday (Friday 1st June 2012) at Bohemian Showcase, I shall be supporting the very funny cowpunk that is Damien A. Passmore. A few more details about Damien and the evening can be found here.

And then on Saturday night we have HubFest. Further details have been added here about the running times (I'm on at 7:00pm).
