Deja Vu, Reading (RG1 2LG)

Bohemian Night open-mic hosted by Rob Sowden

A busy night at Deja Vu with a large talented contingent from the university's Songwriting Society whom I tried to connect to by mentioning fellow academic Joseph Campbell when introducing You've Got The Magic Back. That fell deader than a lead balloon! I'm starting to conclude that the whole idea / premise is something to which few people respond to. Inspite of that, my set seemed to go fine. Cold Heart, in particular, seemed to get a good response.

I was impressed to learn that two of the songs that Alistair Sutherland sang were his own, I've always thought his songs were covers!

Don't forget the gig with Luke Paulo at the Global Cafe on 14th December. More details here.

songs performed:

Cold Heart
You've Got The Magic Back
The Things That She Said
